Marshall Women Host Ohio Wednesday

HUNTINGTON, W.VA.-The Marshall women?s basketball team caps off a three-game homestand with a game against the Ohio Bobcats Wednesday night. Marshall is 6-12 overall, 2-5 in the Mid-American Conference, while the Bobcats enter the Henderson Center with a 5-14 record, 1-7 in the MAC.
The Thundering Herd are coming off a 53-49 overtime win over Central Michigan on Saturday afternoon, a game which saw 4,469 fans, the largest crowd in the Mid-American Conference this season, walk through the Cam Henderson Center turnstyles for JAM the CAM II. In the two years of the event, over 9,700 people have packed the on-campus facility.
Ohio has lost seven of eight games, but the Bobcats did take out the Thundering Herd twice last season, 80-73 in double overtime in Huntington, and 77-67 in Athens. The Bobcats also lead the overall series between the two schools, 17-8.
Wednesday is also Women?s Basketball Poster Night. The Thundering Herd will give away 200 2003 women?s basketball posters to the first 200 Herd fans in attendance. Tip-time is set for 7 p.m.
