Marshall University's men's basketball team will host Bowling Green State University in a key Mid-American Conference game Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Marshall (9-10 overall, 5-6 MAC) and Bowling Green (10-9, 6-5 MAC) are both fighting for position and need a win to keep pace in what has turned into a free-for-all in the MAC standings.
Marshall currently stands fourth in the MAC East, 1/2 game behind Akron and one game ahead of Ohio, while Bowling Green currently stands third in the west, 1/2 game ahead of Western Michigan, and in striking distance of west leader Northern Illinois (7-3).
At halftime of the contest, Marshall will honor several players from the 1990's as part of the M-Club's bring back the Herd. Among those expected to be in attendance are New Jersey Nets Rookie Tamar Slay, J.R. VanHoose, Joda Burgess and Carlton King, among others.
