Lexington, Ky. ? After a hard-fought first day of competition at the University of Kentucky Fall Invitational, members of the Thundering Herd tennis team are looking forward to making adjustments in day two, Saturday in Lexington, Ky.
Freshman Alizee Paradis (Quebec City, Canada) picked up the only Herd singles win in the first round of action in Lexington, Ky. However, the second round of play saw the Herd pick it up with wins from seniors Lille Nzudie (Douala, Cameroon) and Ashley Kroh (Louisville, KY.) , junior Holly Asel (Leawood, Kan.) also picked up a win, as did freshman Jeanne Schwartz (West Palm Beach , Fla) .
Marshall played well in singles, but things went down hill as the day progressed into doubles play. The Herd went winless in doubles play in four matches in round one.
Day two begins at 9 a.m., Saturday in Lexington and play continues throughout the day and on Sunday. Complete results from day one follow. UKAthletics.com will provide updates throughout the day on the happenings of the tournament.
