Swimming and Diving Travels to Buffalo and Akron

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team is on the road this weekend for a pair of meets.

On Friday, Nov. 12 the Thundering Herd does battle with Mid-American Conference opponent Buffalo at 4 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 13 the Herd travels to Akron for quad meet against Clarion, Duquesne and MAC foe Akron, start time is set for 1 p.m.

In the 2003-2004 season, Marshall fell to Buffalo 188-110 and to Akron, 179-121. This is the Herd's first meeting with Clarion and Duquesne.

Leading the way for the Herd is junior Milla Kuurto (Lohja, Finland) who earned MAC Swimmer of the Week honors for her performance last weekend against Toledo and Eastern Michigan. Kuurto captured the top spot in each of her individual events.
