Herd Tennis finishes Day Two at Georgia Tech Invite

Atlanta ? The Thundering Herd tennis team continued play in the Georgia Tech Fall Invitation against a stellar field on Saturday during second round competition.

The Thundering Herd took on host Georgia Tech in doubles and Florida State in singles. The three-day event is setup so all teams play each other in singles and doubles on different days.

The Yellowjackets continued to play well against the Herd after sweeping Marshall in singles play Friday. Georgia Tech also downed the Herd in all four doubles matches Saturday.

The Herd played faired better in singles action against the Seminoles, the team that defeated Marshall 4-2 in the NCAA tournament last season.

The Herd picked up wins from Ashley Kroh (Louisville, Ky.), Jeanne Schwartz (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and Shannon Brown (Overland Park, Kan.) in singles against the ?Noles.

Marshall concludes play in Atlanta tomorrow against Florida State in doubles and then takes on Maryland in singles play to finish out the tournament.
