Herd Swimming and Diving Prepares for Road Trip

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team will be on the road starting Friday when they travel to Muncie, Ind. to take on the Ball State Cardinals. On Saturday they travel to Oxford, Ohio where they will clash with the Miami Red Hawks. The meets are set to start at 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively.

The Herd is coming off a loss to MAC rival Ohio (169-103). Leading the Herd were sophomores Milla Kuurto (Lojha, Finland) and Casey Mulholland (Stone Mountain, Ga.). Kuurto placed first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.56), the 100-yard freestyle (52.75), the 100-yard butterfly (56.60) and the 800-yard freestyle relay (8:02.70). Mulholland finished first in both the 1-meter (239.63) and the 3-meter (251.33) diving events.
