CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior forward Marvin Black (Cleveland, Ohio) was selected to the Mid-American Conference's second team for his stellar play in 2003-04. The announcement was made by the conference office today in Cleveland.
Black currently averages 14.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, good for 11th and 5th in the league, respectively. He is also 4th in the MAC in field goal percentage (52.7%) and 15th in free throw percentage (72.2%).
Black's nine double-doubles also ranks tied for second in the conference with Northern Illinois' Marcus Smallwood. Eastern Michigan's John Bowler leads the league in double-doubles with ten.
Marshall takes on Western Michigan Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the MAC Quarterfinals at Gund Arena.
