HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Four members of the Marshall Thundering Herd tennis team will be in action this weekend at West Point, N.Y. at the site of the ITA East Regional. Representing Marshall will be junior Lynzee Kever, sophomores Shannon Brown and Jeanne Schwartz and freshman Kellie Schmitt.

Action gets underway in the East Regionals Friday morning.

The players made the trip Thursday with head coach John Mercer and are looking to post some quality results against its region as the Herd wraps up its fall season. All players will be in singles and doubles action at Army.

Lynzee Kever, the Herd's newest member after transferring from the University of Colorado received a No. 21 seed in singles play after posting solid results and advancing deep into the draws at the Penn Invitational and UK Fall Invitational.

Kever will team with Brown in doubles action and Schmitt joins with Schwartz. Kever and Brown were a formidible duo playing together this fall with limited experience as a tag-team. The tandem advanced to the finals of the Penn Invitational and knocked of William and Mary's No. 1 squad in doing so.

Herdzone.com will have results throughout the weekend on the progress of the Herd's athletes at the ITA East Regional.
