Marshall Tennis Back in Action at Wake Forest Tournament

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Marshall University women's tennis squad will be hitting the courts once against this weekend at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational.

During the weekend the Thundering Herd will be competing in both single and doubles draws. This season the Herd has racked up wins in tournaments across the country and as a team most recently competed at the Hokie Fall Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. on Oct. 8.

Marshall will be rejoined by Conference USA player of the Month for September and October Kellie Schmitt and doubles partner Lynzee Kever. The duo had been playing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's fall tournaments and was unable to make the squad's last tournament in Blacksburg.

Play will begin Friday for the Herd and conclude on Sunday.
