Women's Basketball Banquet Planned for April 9

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University will hold its fourth annual women's basketball banquet on Sunday, April 9, at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. Festivities are scheduled to tip-off at 1 p.m.

Individual tickets are available for $20 each. There are also "Team Sponsorship" tables offered at a price of $500, which includes two players at a table for eight. All proceeds will go to the cost of covering banquet expenses and to the Locker Room Club.

Marshall completed its first season of competition in Conference USA in 2005-06. The Thundering Herd secured its third straight winning season and finished fifth in the league standings. MU defeated Memphis in the first round of the C-USA Women's Basketball Championship.
