On Aug. 10, Esquire Country Club hosted the third annual Locker Room Club (LRC) Golf Scramble in Barboursville, W.Va. The field was full for the first time in event history, making for an exciting day of golf and prizes for all in attendance. The scramble was also a very valuable fundraiser for the LRC, bringing in yet another record amount for use in the 2006-07 season and beyond.
"I'd like to extend a special thank you to Mark Tolliver and Pete Mastrangelo for their administration of our tournament and making it the finest scramble in the tri-state," Marshall head coach Royce Chadwick said. "It was a tremendous event."
The LRC is the booster club for women's basketball and has supported the program in various ways. As a fund raising organization, the LRC has provided funding for summer school tuition, facility and equipment upgrades and team travel expenses.
