WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Marshall Thundering Herd tennis team will be taking the courts in at the 14th annual William & Mary Invitiational this weekend. Play will begin Friday, Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday.
The tournament will feature the entire roster for the Herd. This year the tournament includes 13 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Top 125 and four of the nation's top doubles teams.
The tournament has six different flights of singles competition and three in doubles and will be played at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center, Busch Courts, the Caf Courts and Dillard in Williamsburg.
In the tournament's Flight A bracket the ITA's No. 105 ranked player, Marshall's Lynzee Kever, will face No. 83 Ela Kaluder of Arkansas. On the double side, Marshall's top tandem of Kellie Schmitt and Lever are currently ranked No. 34 and will face Boston College's Dasha Cherkasov and Lauren Cash.
