Basketball Clinic, Promotions Dot Women's Basketball Calendar This Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall women's basketball program will host a free girl's basketball clinic (grades 1-8) that will feature several Thundering Herd players and coaches from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Cam Henderson Center. No registration is required for the event, which is in advance of Sunday's Sweetheart Clinic in conjunction with Marshall's nationally-televised game with East Carolina at 3 p.m.
All those in attendance for Saturday's clinic with the Herd players and staff will receive a complimentary ticket to Sunday's CSTV game versus the Pirates.
Sunday's game features several promotions, combining free t-shirts, cash giveaways and complimentary admission. The first 400 in attendance to the Herd-Pirates clash will receive a t-shirt. The group, student or otherwise, judged to have the best sign at the game will be given a $100 prize.
A ticket stub from Saturday's men's basketball game versus Houston will grant free admission into Sunday's women's game. Several women's basketball players will be roaming about the Cam Henderson Center during the men's game giving away signed mini basketballs. Those fans lucky enough to get a mini basketball from a player will obtain free admission into the next day's game.
Finally, a total of $200 cash will be thrown into the student section during Sunday's game.
Marshall (12-8, 5-2) is in second place in Conference USA and is 7-2 at home this season.
