Women's Basketball To Hold Weekend Fund Raisers

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - The Thundering Herd women's basketball team, preparing for the upcoming season, will hold two of its annual fund raisers this weekend.
A Pancake Breakfast is set for Saturday, October 20. The breakfast will take place at Max & Erma's Restaurant in Pullman Square from 8-10 a.m. All players and staff will be on hand to sign autographs and discuss the upcoming season.
Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased by calling Jerod in the women's basketball office at 696-7281.
The event is sponsored by the Locker Room Club, which has supported the women's basketball program in various ways. As a fund raising organization, the LRC has provided funding for summer school tuition, facility and equipment upgrades and team travel expenses.
On Sunday, October 21, the team will hold its annual Tailgate Party prior to the Southern Miss game. The tailgate will take place between gates A and C on the west side of the football stadium and is set for a 6 p.m. start. The coaches and players will be in attendance to visit with fans.
