We're going to play a very good Houston team. I've never been there. They have a very good football team. Coach Briles has done a great job in the five or six years that he's been there. He has a very fast football.

On Houston's loss to Tulsa last week ... Everything that could go wrong went wrong. It was a coach's nightmare, but he'll have that corrected this week. Credit Tulsa, because they played well. Fiver turnovers are just hard to overcome.

On Anthony Aldridge and Donnie Avery ... Those two guys can go the distance. No. 22 can go the distance in a heartbeat. I gauge speed by watching a team like Alabama that I think has a very good defense. He just runs away from people. He is extremely fast. I read somewhere that they call him "Quick Six". He gets outside your defense like Chris Johnson. He's faster than Johnson. He can flat out fly. Don't forget No. 1 because I think he is good too. I think he just gets overshadowed.

On Houston's two quarterbacks... They play two quarterbacks. They're both very efficient. They're probably a little more similar than the quarterbacks for ECU were.

On the Houston defense ... I like their defensive ends and I like their safety too. The good thing for us is that he is going to be matched up on our tight end and I think he's pretty good too. I think he's pretty good in the run game and pretty good in pass coverage.

On the ECU win ... It was a good win. We played extremely well. After looking at the film, we played well in all three phases. We're taking a little bit more advantage of our talent than we have been. We're getting a little healthier and we're starting to grow up a little bit. I think anytime you're playing well it helps your emotion and energy. I think it goes back to the crowd. That helped quite a bit. We just played smarter football. We tackled better, we didn't let them get outside on defense. It's pretty simple. We made plays when we needed to make plays offense. We kept the chains moving. That was the best we've played all year. We played four quarters of clean football.

On the play of the defensive line against ECU... I was pleased with Michael Janac. That's probably going to be his position. I know he probably doesn't want to hear that. He's a big body to throw over. The most direct pressure to the quarterback is right up the middle. He's a big, tall body that going to get stronger and stronger. Tinker is playing well. He's our senior leader in there which really helps. We felt like we had to mix and match a little bit to get our athletes on the field. I though we looked faster Saturday night.

On the play of E.J. Wynn ... E.J. has been getting better all year. It shows you the depth that we have at the wide receiver position. If you take away this one, we'll go with this one and this one. We have some depth on offense.

On Marshall needing a win on the road ... That will be the next progression. We won a game at home against a team that controlled its own destiny. Now we're going to go on the road against the same kind of team. We need to have the same kind of focus.

On the improvement of the offensive line after UCF ... We challenged them. UCF was eight deep. ECU was not as deep. I said that in my press conference going in. That helps a little bit. UCF is where we need to be defensively, where we're that deep and we're teeing off on people.

On the crowd against ECU ... I don't know how many were here but it was as loud as it has ever been. I think that really helps us on defense. Defense is all about emotion.
