HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall women's tennis team will close its fall season against nationally-ranked opponents at the Kitty Harrison Invitational host by the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center this weekend. Play is set to begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9.

The annual tournament is in honor of the former University of North Carolina's women's tennis coach, Kitty Harrison. She led the Tar Heels to four ACC Championships from 1977 to 1998.

"The UNC tournament is a great event with competitive teams," Marshall head coach John Mercer said. "We hope to be competitive and productive."

The nine teams Marshall will be competing against at this year's tournament, include: William and Mary, UNC, Furham, Kentucky, Miami, College of Charleston, Princeton, Virginia and Maryland.

"We have been very productive this fall," coach Mercer added. "I hope we end on a good note to head into the spring season."
