Conference USA Academic Medal Winners Announced

IRVING, Texas - A total of 321 student-athletes have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2006-07 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today. The medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
Tulsa had the most academic medal winners with 47, followed by Memphis with 36, and East Carolina with 34. Marshall was fifth overall with 29 athletes on the list. The total number of academic medal recipients increased by more than 30 percent this season.
