Head Coach Royce Chadwick

Opening Statement
"Obviously, it was a tale of two halves. They came out in the first half and really lit us up. We didn't play the type of defense that we hoped we play in the first half. We came out the second half and really clamped down defensively. I thought that was really the difference in the game. Our intensity was good. It takes a lot of leadership to come back from that type of deficit. I think you can see what a huge factor Tynikki Crook is to our team. I thought we had a lot of people play their best game of the season. I thought Melody Hudson played the best game of her career here. It thought Rebecca Bays played her best game of the season. That's nice to see. Chantelle Handy did a great job of leading our team. I thought Kasey Baker was difference maker in this game. 11 assists is a pretty good night. We were very happy to get the win."

On his team's second half defense...
"We gave up 48 points in the first half and we talked about that. I thought our defensive intensity in the second half was very, very good. I don't think they scored very much the first 10 minutes of the second half. I thought that was because of our team defense. I thought we got some quick shots from them. We got some steals and we had some people flying down the floor. That really made a difference in our offense. We got our confidence going. We had a large deficit to fight back from and we were able to do that. It takes a mature group to make that happen and you've got to have great leadership on the floor."

On Memphis' shooting tonight
"I asked our assistant coaches at half time if they thought we were playing that poorly or if the other team was just hitting shots. Our team could have closed up shop and said, `Oh they're on tonight. We'll just go out there and see what happens.' I'm very proud of the way we fought. In the last 10 minutes they warmed up again. I thought at any point they could get it going."

Kizzy Baker

On the team being confident despite being down. ...
"We always have confidence and we're always ready to play. I think we just needed to keep our heads up. We knew that we could come back easy."

Tynikki Crook

On her return...
"I just wanted to come back and make a contribution. My team had been winning and one and losing one and I wanted to make a contribution. I wanted to be as big of a help as I was before I left."
