Locker Room Club To Hold Season Preview Event

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Thundering Herd women's basketball team, along with the Locker Room Club is set to hold a season preview event entitled "Marshall Women's Basketball Is Sweet".

The event, which is open to the public, will take place on October 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hartley Room at the Cam Henderson Center.

Dessert and refreshments will be served and fans will have the opportunity to meet with the players and coaches to discuss the 2008-09 season.

During the event, current Locker Room Club members will discuss the benefits of joining the club the type of opportunities it provides. The players will also provide testimonials on how the club has helped their careers. Following that, head coach Royce Chadwick will discuss the X's and O's of women's basketball.

Following the refreshments, fans will have the opportunity to see the Herd in action for an intra-squad scrimmage.
