Senior free safety C.J. Spillman is this week's athlete of the week following the Thundering Herd football team's 17-16 win over Memphis on Saturday. Spillman, a native of Louisville, Ky., recorded seven tackles, forced a fumble deep in Marshall territory and broke up a pass in the final second to preserve the Marshall win and help the Herd to its first 1-0 start in Conference USA.
