With the win, Marshall enhanced its all-time series lead over Cincinnati to 12-1. Tonight's victory marked the Herd's eighth consecutive win over the Bearcats.
Marshall will travel to Athens, Georgia next weekend to compete in the 2009 Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Team Indoor Championships, which will be hosted by the No. 6 University of Georgia.
The Herd will compete as the No. 2 seed behind the Georgia Bulldogs. Florida International and Ole Miss were placed as the No. 3 and 4 seeds, respectively.
