BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Marshall University swimming and diving team completed the first day of the Hilltopper Invite on Friday with a third-place finish at the Bill Powell Natatorium.

Top MU finishes by event:

200-yard freestyle relay: 6th, 1:43.02

500-yard freestyle: 6th, Jenny Johnsson (5:10.63)

200-yard IM: 13th, Vera Niemeyer (2:13.93)

50-yard freestyle: 7th, Briana Burns (24.90)

400-yard medley relay: 5th, 4:01.79

3-meter diving: 2nd, Rachel Hannum (215.45)
