Marshall will travel to New Orleans this weekend to take on Tulane in a Conference USA contest scheduled for 4:30 p.m. (ET) Saturday at Fogelman Arena.
The Thundering Herd (12-14, 4-7 C-USA) rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to down Tulane in overtime, 89-86, in Huntington on Feb. 7th. Chris Lutz led the comeback charge with a career-high 37 points.
Marshall is coming off of an 88-83 upset of Houston on Wednesday. The Herd's Markel Humphrey scored 25 points en route to the victory over the Cougars. Marshall has now won three of its last four games heading into back-to-back road games at Tulane and East Carolina.
Tulane enters Saturday's game with an overall record of 10-15 and is 4-8 in Conference USA.
The Green Wave is led by a trio of double-digit scorers. Kevin Sims is scoring 12.5 points per game, while Kris Richard and Robinson Louisme add 10.8 and 10.4 points per game, respectively.
Sims and Louisme had strong performances against Marshall in Huntington earlier this month. Sims scored 23 points and had five assists, while Louisme scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Tulane built a 13-point lead over Marshall at haltime, 39-26, and never trailed in the second half in the two teams earlier meeting. However, Marshall managed to edge the Green Wave in overtime.
The game can be heard live across the Thundering Herd/ISP Sports Radio Network and video is available through Herd All-Access at Herdzone.com.
