First Tournament Complete For Women's Golf

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Three Thundering Herd women's golfers shot their best of three rounds on Tuesday afternoon as Marshall wrapped up its spring opener at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate.
Molly Ginger, Rachel Halloran and Larie Lynch each shot ten-over 82's in Tuesday's final round. It marked a tournament best for Ginger and Halloran while Lynch shot an 82 in Sunday's opening round.
Overall, Lynch led the Herd in the three-day event with a +31. Ginger was six strokes off of Lynch with a +37 while Halloran finished three strokes behind Ginger at +40.
Maria Battaglia and Mary Oliver finished tied at +41.
As a team, the Herd placed 42 out of 43 squads in the tournament at +143. Miami and Central Arkansas tied atop the leaderboard at +40.
Nicole Forshner of Central Arkansas and Sinead O'Sullivan of East Tennessee State tied on the individual side at +2. Each shot a one-under 71 in the final round.
