Little Herd Camp and Individual Boys' Day Camp Brochure
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University men's basketball program and head coach Donnie Jones have announced the information for its upcoming summer camps.
Three camps are scheduled to take place this year, including the Little Herd Camp, Individual Boys' Day Camp and a Team Camp.
The Little Herd Camp, which is for boys and girls 6-10 years old, will have two sessions. The first will held from June 15-18 with the second taking place from July 13-16. The cost is $75 and includes a t-shirt.
A few of the drills included in that camp are group ball handling, individual improvement, shooting contests and games. The camps will take place from 9 a.m. until noon each day.
The Individual Boys' Day Camp will take place from June 15-18 and is open to boys between the ages of 11-18 and the cost is $150. The first three days of the camp will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. with Thursday's activities going from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m.
The Team Camp will be held on June 19 and 20. The camp will consist of three competitive leagues; JV, small varsity and large varsity with a minimum of five games under actual conditions to be played. Participation is open to high school teams.
All teams can have up to 15 participants. Registration is $350 per team and $650 for two teams.
The camp also includes an evening social for coaches with the basketball staff and a Marshall basketball shirt for all campers and coaches.
Head coach Donnie Jones along with staff members Shawn Finney, Darren Tillis, Brett Nelson and Tim Thomas will be operating the camps.
