Koprcina and Lock Capture Doubles Championship

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The duo of Kristina Koprcina (Split, Croatia) and Thaddea Lock (Bristol, England) captured the Flight B doubles championship on Sunday afternoon at Busch Court.
MU's tandem defeated Harvard's pair of Holly Cao and Alexandra Lehman by a score of 9-8.
Michalea Kissell (Hostetter, Pa.) and Deanna Bailey (McDonough, Ga.) lost in their championship match of the Flight A doubles as Virginia's Stevens and Tomjanovic took the crown with an 8-4 win.
In the singles championship match, MU's Kara Kucin won the Flight E championship as she defeated Penn State's Maria Prishlyak in three sets (2-6, 6-3, 6-4).
Korpcrina didn't complete the Sunday sweep as she lost in her finals match of Flight D (6-4, 6-2) to Sophie Chang of Harvard. Isabell Raich (Klaus, Austria) also lost her championship match coming out of Flight B (7-5, 6-1). She was eliminated by Virginia Tech's Christin Newman.
Marshall takes the court next weekend as they travel to Charlottesville, Va., to participate in the University of Virginia Tournament.
