CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Junior Michaela Kissell will play in the championship game of the Flight A bracket, while teammates Deanna Bailey and Catherine Kellner will face each other in the championship match of the Flight B bracket.

Kissell advanced to the finals by beating Sandhya Nagaraj of North Carolina State in straight sets (6-0, 7-6). She meets Virginia's Lindsey Hardenbergh in Sunday's finals. This will be the second meeting this season for the two as they played in the first match of the William and Mary tournament, which Kissell won (2-6, 6-4, 6-4).

"Michaela had a great day today," said John Mercer, Marshall University women's tennis coach. "It was a hard fought match and it was good to see her come out on top."

In Flight B action, Bailey and Kristina Koprcina faced each other in semi-final action where Bailey came out victorious (6-2, 6-4). Bailey will face another Herd member in the finals as Kellner defeated Old Dominion's Joanna Dobrowolska in three sets (7-5, 7-6, 6-3) to reach the championship match.

"It was a great thing for us to have our two girls playing each other in the semi-finals, and now we have two facing off in the finals. It shows how competitive we are," Mercer said.

Tomorrow's action wraps up the UVA Fall Invitational. Competition begins at 9 a.m.
