Herd Faces Akron and California, Pa. on Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The Marshall University swimming and diving team opens the 2010 schedule with a home meet on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium.

The Herd (4-4) will host Akron (2-5) and California Pa. (2-4) in its first meet back in action after finishing third at the WKU Hilltopper Invite on Nov. 22.

Saturday also marks senior day for seven Herd athletes. Those being honored during the meet are: Karli Alsop, Briana Burns, Kelsie Eberly, Jenny Johnsson, Erin Kennedy, Ally Melinsky and Kristin Wheatley.

Results following the conclusion of the meet will be posted on the swimming and diving schedule page.
