TULSA, Okla. - In its fourth-consecutive overtime match, the Marshall University men's soccer team tied Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon 2-2 at the ORU Soccer Complex.
The Thundering Herd (7-4-4, 2-3-1 C-USA) has now played an overtime session in nine of its 15 matches.
The two sides played a scoreless first 45 minutes, but the Golden Eagles were first to find the back of the net just two minutes into the second half when ORU's Daniel Premenko headed home a corner kick.
MU would use a bit of luck to draw even at one apiece when Oral Roberts scored an own goal in the 66th minute. However, just 33 seconds later ORU would regain the lead at 2-1 when Jon Gann beat Marshall net-minder Daniel Withrow.
But the Thundering Herd would once again fight back as Carl Munday capped of a span of three goals in five minutes. Munday tallied his third goal of the season and Kyle Sniatecki was credited with his second helper of 2010.
Neither team would be able to score the golden-goal in overtime as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Herd has three remaining matches on the schedule before post-season play. MU welcomes No.20 South Carolina to Sam Hood Field next Saturday in a pivotal C-USA match before ending the season on the road with contests against Winthrop and UAB.
