Kissell Falls in Opening Round at NCAA Indoor Nationals

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - Michaela Kissell of the Marshall University tennis team fell in straight sets to Josipa Bek of Clemson in the first round of the USTA/ITA NCAA Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Thursday afternoon.

Bek defeated Marshall's ace in the first round of 32 by a mark of 6-3, 6-1. Kissell is now eliminated from the main draw.

The Thundering Herd is off until the second semester when it starts up team competition on Jan.5th at home against Morehead State and Eastern Michigan.
