HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall women's basketball returns to the Cam Henderson Center for a two-game home stand beginning on Saturday afternoon when it hosts North Carolina A&T. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Thundering Herd (2-5) looks to bounce back from an 89-63 loss to Miami (Ohio) earlier this week. Lateidra Elliott posted a career-high 19 points while this week's Conference USA Player of the Week Tynikki Crook added 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Veronica Ruiz chipped in 10 points and Adrian Randall snagged eight boards.

Crook continues to lead the Herd this season, her 18.4 points per game is first in C-USA and 40th in the nation. The senior's 54.4 percent shooting from the field ranks 41st nationally in Division I.

North Carolina A&T (2-4) return to the court following a week long break. The Aggies snapped a three-game losing streak with a convincing 74-58 win against Norfolk State. NC A&T is led by Jaleesa Sams 16.2 points per game. Sams drained a game-high 26 points against NSU while Crystal Murdaugh chipped in 17 points and 11 boards. Jaquayla Berry added 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.

"North Carolina A&T is a very athletic team. They return a group that posted 20 plus wins including big road victories in the WNIT over Wake Forest and Charlotte," head coach Royce Chadwick said. "They are well coached and extremely talented. That is a tough combination. We will have our hands full trying to slow them down."

Marshall holds a 2-0 series advantage, following a 71-59 win at the Coastal Carolina Tournament during the 1992-93 season.
