Jenny Johnsson Earns C-USA All-Academic Accolades

IRVING, Texas.- Jenny Johnsson of the Marshall University swimming and diving team was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, as announced by league officials Tuesday afternoon.
Johnsson sports a 3.77 grade point average in dietetics. This marks the second occasion that the Osby, Sweden native has earned a spot on the team, the last being in 2009. She is the first swimmer in the school's history to make back-to-back appearances on the list since Kayla Truswell did so in 2008 and 2009.
Johnsson has recorded four first-place finishes this year and holds a spot in the top-10 rankings at Marshall in the 200 freestyle (6th, 1:54.01), 500 freestyle (4th, 5:00.60), 1000 freestyle (4th, 10:32.61), 1650 freestyle (2nd, 17:29.89), 200 backstroke (1st, 2:04.78) and the 400 IM (1st, 4:26.61).
