Herd Tennis to Participate in the UVA Fall Invitational

CHAROLTTESVILLE, Va. - The Marshall women's tennis team is set for its second tournament of the fall season as the Thundering Herd participates in the University of Virginia Invitational, Friday through Sunday, held at the Snyder Tennis Center.

The tournament is comprised of four singles flights (A-D) of 16 players each, and two doubles flights, also a 16 team draw in each flight.

Joining the Herd and the host Cavaliers on the weekend is: Dartmouth, NC State, UNC-Greensboro, Utah, VCU, Wake Forest, William & Mary and Winthrop.

Flight A has eight nationally ranked players in it, including Marshall's Michaela Kissell, who is ranked No. 41. The Flight A doubles draw has three nationally ranked teams competing, with the Herd's team of No. 20 Kissell and Zaprazna being one of them.
