All Three Marshall Doubles Teams Advance at UVA Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - All three of Marshall's doubles pairings advanced into the quarter-finals on the first day of the UVA Fall Invitational hosted by the University of Virginia.

The 20th ranked team in the country of Michaela Kissell and Dominika Zaprazna dominated in their opening match of Flight A, blanking the duo of Kryuchkova and Pham of Utah, 8-0.

The tandems of Karlyn Timko and Kara Kucin, along with Maria Voscekova and Catherine Kellner advanced in Flight B doubles. Timko/Kucin topped Smyser/Decker-Sadowski of Dartmouth 8-1, while Voscekova/Kellner moved on via a bye in the first round.

Action continues from the Snyder Tennis Center Saturday morning with doubles starting at 10:15 a.m.
