HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall women's basketball team has announced its 2011 summer camps. The Thundering Herd is set to hold two camps, Little Dribblers and an Individual camp, during the month of June.
Little Dribblers is scheduled for June 7-10, at the Cam Henderson Center and Gullickson Hall on the campus of Marshall University. The camp is open to all girls 5-12 years of age, at a cost of $85 per camper.
The five day camp will begin at 8:30 a.m., each day and conclude at 12:00 p.m. The camp will concentrate on teaching fundamentals of the game through fun and intense stations, drills and games.
The Individual camp will follow on June 11th, beginning at 9:00 a.m., continuing until 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided and is included in the cost, $55 per camper.
The camp is open to all girls grades 5-12 and will emphasize individual instruction and player development in an intense day filled with skills, drills, footwork and a variety of competitions.
Participants in both camps will be given the opportunity to receive instruction from Marshall women's basketball head coach Royce Chadwick and the players of the Thundering Herd team. Campers will be given complimentary MU camp t-shirts as well as basketball's upon completion of the camp.
