HAMILTON, Ohio - The No. 40 Marshall University tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Miami (Ohio) Friday afternoon at the Riverside Racquetclub Tennis Club.
Down Michaela Kissell, The Herd had to shake up the lineup, moving everyone up one spot. However, MU dropped the doubles point, falling on courts one and two, but winning on court three as Dominika Zaprazna and Kara Kucin topped Dracheva/Wald, 8-3.
Maria Voscekova was the sole MU singles player to record a win as she defeated Riekie Honiball, 6-3, 7-6 on court four, improving her overall singles record to 10-3; the second most wins on the team.
The Herd has eight days off before its next dual as MU will travel to face the Liberty Flames on March, 12th. Following that, the Herd plays five of its final six matches at home.
