Allison Harper Named MU Athlete of the Week

Allison Harper has been named the Marshall University Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Conference USA Women's Golf Championship leading to a record setting season.

The freshman shot a team-best 232 at her first C-USA Championships to finish tied for 26th.

Harper finished her first year with the Thundering Herd with a program record setting 77.3 stroke average, surpassing Tammie Green's and Larie Lynch's 77.5.

Harper played in 25 rounds of action during the 2010-11 campaign and earned five top-10 finishes. Her 71 in the first round of the season was the team's lowest round in 2010-11 and lead to a second place finish for the Upper Arlington, Ohio native.
