Herd Wraps Up Miami Invitational

OXFORD, Ohio - Marshall's swimming and diving team wrapped up the fall semester portion of its schedule on Saturday at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.
Swimmers Kelsey Ferguson and Sarah Kay plus diver Lauren Rone highlighted the Thundering Herd's day.
Ferguson, a freshman, swam a lifetime best time of 2:27.50 in the 200-yard breaststroke to finish second in the C-final of the event.
In the 100 butterfly, Kay swam a team and personal season high with a time of 57.53 to finish fifth in the B-final.
On the diving board, Rone collected a score of 242.10 to score in the top seven finals.
The three day event in Ohio collected the Herd's fall semester schedule. It will return to the pool January 11 as it travels to Indianapolis, Ind. for a quad-beat with Xavier, Ball State and IUPUI.
