RADFORD, Va.- The Marshall University men's soccer team (4-0-1) will put its undefeated and unblemished defensive records on the line this weekend when it travels to Radford University for a pair of matches against Big South opponents UNC Asheville (1-4-0) and Radford (2-1-1).

The Thundering Herd will first face UNC Asheville in a 4:30 p.m. match on Friday, before playing host-team Radford at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Radford will face Marist on Friday before its meeting with Marshall some two days later.

The Herd is the only team in NCAA Div. I that has not allowed a goal so far this season, and after last Sunday's 7-0 demolition of VMI, boasts the largest margin of victory for any Div. I team in a single match so far this fall.

The Herd has spread the wealth on the offensive side of the ball, where seven players have found the back of the net this season. The group is paced by senior Tom Jackson's four goals and two assists, while fellow senior Eddy Prugh is second with three goals and an assist of his own.

Defensively, the Herd needs to keep a clean sheet for just 9 minutes and 18 seconds against UNC Asheville to break the Marshall record for the longest amount of time played without conceding a goal. The team already broke the record for most consecutive shutouts with the win over VMI last weekend.

The Herd is 3-4-2 against Radford and 3-1-0 versus UNC Asheville in the all-time series. Live stats and video during the matches may be found by clicking the links below.
