Men's Basketball Holds First Official Practice

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Basketball season is underway at Marshall as the men's basketball team held its first official practice on Friday, one day after hosting its annual media day.

It was also the first of many functions on the recently installed new court at Cam Henderson Center. The first basketball game on the new surface will be an exhibition against Concord at 7 p.m. on Oct. 28. However, the first basketball related function on the court will be a green & white scrimmage on Oct. 17 beginning at 5:30.

Marshall, which returns five players from last season's squad and welcomes nine newcomers, is allowed a total of 30 practice days prior to its first regular season game on Nov. 8 against South Carolina State at 8 p.m.
