HAVE YOU HERD?
In a defensive battle which saw seven lead changes, five ties and a largest lead of six, Marshall dropped a 63-58 decision to Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 6 at McBrayer Arena. Junior Norrisha Victrum (Columbia, S.C.) led the Herd in scoring for the first time this season with 13. Sophomore Chelsey Romero (Hampton, Va.) and senior AJ Johnson (Silver Spring, Md.) rounded out double-figure scoring with 12 and 10, respectively. Chukwuka Ezeigbo (Trenton, N.J.) grabbed 10 boards in Marshall's 41-40 outrebounding effort.

A HERD WIN WOULDââ'¬Â¦

  • Extend Marshall's home win streak to 3-0
  • Be the Herd's first against the Tigers since Jan. 2, 1986 (1-0, forfeit)
  • Keep the Herd unbeaten versus Salem International, moving to 10-0 all-time

HOME SWEET HENDERSON CENTER
It has been 17 days since Marshall's last home game (its only other home contest thus far), a 74-57 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 22. Since its inaugural season in 1981-82, the Herd is 270-164 (.624) at Cam Henderson Center. Last season, Marshall went 9-9 at home and won its third straight home debut.

GREAT SCOTT!
The Herd has found a leader in senior Leah Scott (Detroit), who ranks No. 2 in Conference USA with a .582 field goal percentage and 36.0 minutes played per game. Her field goal percentage is ranked No. 28 in the nation, and she leads the Herd with 17.2 points per outing. She was this season's first Conference USA Player of the Week (Nov. 17) and was named MVP of the URI Tip-Off (Nov. 15).

PLAYING THE 'VICTRUM'
Junior Norrisha Victrum (Columbia, S.C.) has been lights out from long range, leading Conference USA with a 55.6 3-point percentage (10-of-18). Her 5-of-6 (.833) showing against Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 22) matched the No. 2 single-game performance by a Marshall player in program history.
