Herd Welcomes UTSA to Henderson Center Thursday

The Thundering Herd (4-14, 0-5 C-USA) hosts UTSA (8-8, 2-3) Thursday evening at 7 p.m. ET.

Marshall is led by Ryan Taylor's 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He and Cheikh Sane also have a team-high 15 blocks. Milan Mijovic (9-17, .529) has the top field goal percentage on the squad. Austin Loop has been the team's top long-range shooter with 49 made 3-pointers, boasting a .408 percentage. Loop and Tamron Manning lead with 19 steals and Aleksa Nikolic is tops on the team with 68 assists.

The Herd has won just once in its last 15 games and is coming off eight-straight losses at Arkansas State (67-58), Nevada (83-55), at Akron (70-63), at Western Kentucky (81-62), home to #25 ODU (72-51), home to Charlotte (77-72), at FIU (66-62 in overtime) and at Florida Atlantic (76-62).

UTSA is led by Jeromie Hill's 15.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, a mark he shares with Kaj Bjorn-Sherman, who shoots a team-high .581 (54-93) from the field. Keon Lewis has the team lead in assists with 59 and steals with 27, while Hill has a team-high 10 blocks. Ryan Bowie (35-84, .417) is the team's top 3-point shooter.

Marshall will face UTEP on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET. The game against the Miners will be carried on the American Sports Network (locally on WCHS-TV in the Huntington-Charleston market).
