HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall men's basketball (6-15, 2-6) will seek its third consecutive Conference USA win when it faces the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (16-5, 7-1) on Karl Malone Court at Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, La., at 5:30 p.m. ET Saturday.



The game will be broadcast live on American Sports Network with Lyn Rollins on the call and Dean Keener as analyst. In addition to live tweets from @HerdMBB, live stats will be available through LATechSports.com. Marshall made it two in a row with a 69-54 road win over Southern Miss on Thursday evening at Reed Green Coliseum. Led by 13 points from Austin Loop (South Webster, Ohio) and a Ryan Taylor (Indianapolis) double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, the Herd claimed its second consecutive Conference USA victory. Marshall's last back-to-back league wins came in 2012 against East Carolina (Feb. 11), SMU (Feb. 18) and Houston (Feb. 22).

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Louisiana Tech (16-5, 7-1) claimed a share of the league lead when it defeated visitor Western Kentucky on Thursday, 69-56. The 'Dogs are 10-0 at home this season, and enter Saturday's contest having won eight of their last nine games. LA Tech's only C-USA loss this season came Jan. 22 at North Texas, 73-67. Alex Hamilton and Raheem Appleby lead the team with 16.7 points apiece per game, and Erik McCree adds 12.3 per outing.



Marshall has yet to win in the series, at 0-3 versus the Bulldogs. Last season, the Herd fell 98-77 in Ruston (Jan. 15, 2014).
