Coach Matt Daniel
Opening Statement
"I went to shake hands with Tyler [Summit, Louisiana Tech head coach] and he said 'I'm sorry, it really should have been an overtime game.' But, I don't feel that way I feel like we should have won the game. It has nothing to do with the last play of the game. I thought it took us way too long to get focused and fight today. I thought we did so in the last four minutes of the game, but in the first 36, I thought we were pretty bad. On our energy level, we looked dead; we didn't look very focused. I thought if we had fought at all, even for another minute, we would have won the game, because they hit a shot- a free throw with .8 seconds on the clock."
On being beat down the floor
"We weren't very good, we just weren't very good today. You know, our kids are disappointed but there's no panic. Someone told me yesterday- think about this this is kind of scary- had we won today, we would have been the fastest team to reach 14 wins this year since '86 or '87. That's 30 years, I was eight. So there's no pouting because were doing a heck of a job- third place team and probably the most athletic and experienced team to come here won the game. Its unfortunate the game had to end the way it did, but I'll probably consider Tyler a friend for the rest of his coaching career. It's unfortunate that he walks up to me and says 'It should have been an overtime game, man I'm sorry', so yes, it's unfortunate the way it ended but for me, it's unfortunate the way it started. And we have got to move along from that."

On seeing some more touches every game
"Coach put me where I would get a little more touches, so I definitely tried to do something with the ball when I did get it."
