@HerdMSoccer Drops C-USA Match to No. 24 FIU

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall men's soccer team lost 5-1 to No. 24 FIU Saturday at FIU Soccer Stadium in Miami.
The Herd falls to 4-5-0 (0-2-0 C-USA), while FIU improves to 6-2-0 (2-0-0 C-USA).
AGAINST THE PANTHERS
FIU started scoring in the seventh minute with a header from Marvin Hezel. Luis Betancur would add another before the half closed after a deflection.
In the second, FIU would add a third from a Herd own goal in the 63rd. Darren Rios made the score 4-0 with a headed goal from a corner in the 73rd. The Panthers would complete its scoring in the 87th after Luca Giovine's finish.
Marshall's lone goal came from freshman Chris Taibi (Wantagh, N.Y.)i, who netted his third of the season after a rebound from the crossbar in the 88th minute. The assist went to senior Austin Klueh (Loveland, Ohio), his first Herd assist.
