Herd Swimming and Diving Heads to Nashville

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall swimming and diving team will travel to Nashville, Tenn. Saturday to take on Vanderbilt and North Florida at Centennial SportsPlex.
Marshall is coming off of a 159-141 loss to James Madison on Jan. 23. The Herd is 7-2 in dual meets this season.
In the last meet, freshman Caroline Wanner led the way for the Herd with wins in the 200-yard butterfly, 200 backstroke and 200 IM. Wanner's 200 butterfly time was a lifetime best and ranks fourth in Marshall history.
Sophomore Madi Pulfer had an impressive meet as well, finishing the day with wins in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. Pulfer's only second-place finish was to Wanner in the 200-yard backstroke.
Junior Chloe Parsemain also came out on top in the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly.
Rounding out the individual wins against JMU, freshman Anna Lynch picked up a victory in the 1,000 freestyle.

Marshall will return home to host the two-day Marshall Invitational starting at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5. The meet will continue on Feb. 6 starting at 10:30 a.m. The event will be free for spectators.
