STREAKING AT HOME IN C-USA
- The Herd has won its last seven Conference USA home games dating to last season, marking its longest home win streak in league play since winning 12 in a row over three years (1996-98) under Billy Donovan (1995-96, Southern Conference) and Greg White (1996-97, Southern Conference; 1997-98, Mid-American Conference).
- Marshall has not lost at home against a C-USA opponent since dropping an 82-68 decision to UTSA on Jan. 22, 2015.
- The Herd's record for consecutive home wins in conference play is 22 games over three seasons from 1985 to 1988 under Rick Huckabay in the Southern Conference.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
Florida Atlantic (2-12, 0-1) is looking to end a seven-game slump when it takes on the Herd. The Owls have played all but three games away from Boca Raton and own a 1-7 road record this season, picking up a 75-69 win at Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 21. Adonis Filer is the team's leading scorer with 9.4 points per game and Ronald Deph is the top rebounder with 5.0 boards per game.
The winner of Thursday's game will take the lead in the all-time series (2-2). Marshall won the last meeting at Cam Henderson Center, 79-63, on Feb. 28, 2015.
