Yurachek Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall junior tight end Ryan Yurachek was named to Conference USA's All-Academic team, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.

A Myrtle Beach, S.C. native, Yurachek was named to the AFCA Good Works Team, Mackey Award and Wuerffel Trophy Watch Lists in 2016. One of the nation's leaders in consecutive games with a reception (29), he had 28 catches for 298 yards and five touchdowns this season. The preseason All-Conference USA selection sports a 3.46 GPA and is majoring in Marketing.

The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve for their team. The squad is selected by the league's football media relations directors.
