HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - With a double bye in the Conference USA Tournament on the line, Marshall men's basketball (15-14, 11-5) will host Louisiana Tech (22-7, 11-5) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Cam Henderson Center.

American Sports Network will broadcast the game with Mike Gleason on the call and Mack McCarthy as analyst. In addition to coverage from @HerdMBB on Twitter and Instagram, the game can be found on the Thundering Herd IMG Sports Network with Steve Cotton on the call and Woody Woodrum as analyst. Senior forward James Kelly (Ann Arbor, Mich.) tallied his 13th double-double in an 83-74 loss for Marshall at Middle Tennessee on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Murphy Center. The Herd responded from a 16-point deficit in the second half to eventually take its first lead, but could not sustain it in the end. Kelly posted team highs of 21 points and 14 rebounds, leading a trio of double-figure scorers. Sophomore guard Jon Elmore (Charleston, W.Va.) followed with 18 points and junior forward Ryan Taylor (Indianapolis) had 12.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Louisiana Tech (22-7, 11-5) has the No. 2 offense in Conference USA (79.4 ppg) behind Marshall's 84.8 points per game. The Bulldogs are winners of five of their last six games, with the loss coming at UTEP on Feb. 20 (91-80). LA Tech is 6-6 when playing on the road this season, with a 3-4 record in conference play. Alex Hamilton, a C-USA Player of the Year candidate, leads the Bulldogs with 18.9 points, 6.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game. He had a triple-double in his last outing versus Rice with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists (Feb. 27).

Marshall is looking for its first win in the series, coming in at 0-4 all-time against the Bulldogs. The teams have faced off in Huntington only once - in the first meeting on Dec. 15, 1984, in the final of the Marshall Memorial Invitational - a 69-63 loss for the Herd. Karl Malone was the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, scoring 20 points in the final.
