ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Marshall University divers wrapped up the final day of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis.
Wednesday's event was the platform dive, which featured five individual dives from each athlete. Marshall junior Megan Wolons finished with an 11th place time of 193.35, while fellow junior Kelly Toner finished with a 15th place performance of 157 points.
In other events, Wolon's was the top finisher in the 3-meter dive, with a 25th place score of 235.05. Lonkert finished 40th (210.70), while Toner placed 48th (201.15).
In Monday's 1-meter action, Toner narrowly missed out on a place in the top 18, which would have advanced her to the finals. Toner finished with a score of 234.75, just .15 points off the pace of Harvard's Alisha Mah.
Despite their strong finishes, Marshall's divers were not able to advance to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
